Hair specialist

Job Title: HAIR SPECIALIST
Reporting To: Operations Manager

  • Age – 25-35

Main Purpose of the Job:

Hair stylists/Specialist are beauty service professionals who specialize in the fashioning and treatment of hair. Hair stylist responsibilities include cleaning and cutting hair, offering hair care and hair styling consultations, and recommending hair styling products, among other duties.

YOUR ROLE

• Listening to their needs to determine their preferences.
• Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes.
• Describing different hair care products and their benefits.
• Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment
• Shampooing, cutting, colouring, and highlighting hair.
• Apply a wide range of hair colouring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage
• Performing scalp treatments.
• Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. colour protection creams and hydrating masks)
• Acting as salespersons to sell clients hair care retail products.
• Building a personal relationship with loyal clients to ensure return visits.
• Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns
• Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
• Keeping updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.
• Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Work experience as a Hair Stylist/Specialist, Hairdresser, Colourist or similar role
• Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
• Hands-on experience with various colouring techniques
• Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths (e.g., braids and top knots)
• Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
• Up-to-date with industry trends
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• Valid license from a cosmetology school

Receptionist – Russian

Job Title: RECEPTIONIST – RUSSIAN SPEAKERS
Reporting To: Operations Manager

Main Purpose of the Job:

The front desk receptionist is usually the first person which a client will have contact with when arriving at or contacting a
salon , As salon receptionist is the face of the salon. Should ensure that clients/customers do not experience difficulties while
in the salon by giving them the information they need and making them feel comfortable.

YOUR ROLE

• Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper beauty station and inform assigned beautician of their arrival
• Making sure the smooth operation of the reception
• Book and confirm appointments via phone and email
• Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts. End day settlement of CC transactions.
• Strictly follows rules of the management and act as the model for all of the employees.
• Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
• Deal with customer complaints in calm and respectful manner.
• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
• Inform clients about new services and discounts
• Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g. through informative brochures and gift cards)
• Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
• Maintain a clean and tidy reception area
• Order business cards, brochures and stationery as needed
• Create daily sales reports at the end of the operation and report together with the daily expenses.
• Respond to and take appropriate actions and Report to managers relating to safety and damages.
• Responsible for Maintaining the cleanliness and stocks of the mini bar for salon guests/clients.
• Capturing photos and taking videos for social media purposes and forwarding it to Creative Director.
• Maintaining detailed record of Inventory for stock management and ordering.
• Keep track of complaints /suggestions of clients
• Make sure lighting and other devices are prepared before the day and to be switched off at the end of the day.
• Morning shift reception must be at least 30 minutes early to avoid complaints from early booking clients. Closing
reception is not allowed to leave before the closing time not unless no more appointments/clients around the salon,
they can do so 15 minutes before the closing.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist or similar role
• Presentable – always wear make-up, tidy hair and wear proper uniform
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Good knowledge of hair, nail care and beauty products.
• Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
• Familiarity with processing transactions
• Excellent communication skills(verbal, phone and email)
• Ability to respond to a complaint or resolve issues with clients in a reputable manner.
• Friendly, personable, good customer service and a positive attitude towards clients
• Committed to professionalism and cooperation
• Solid organization and record-keeping skills
• English & Russian speaker preferred.
